for english version, that's weird. cos i am using windows xp pro en. when i set the non-unicode to chinese, there are some troublesome codes; set it to english, it works fine. probably, the kaplan is not suitable for windows xp cn version.

if ur system is english version, try this.

start-control panel- regional and language option- advanced tab-set the language for non-unicode program to english united states

if ur system is chinese version, you can also try the solution above, however, the result is not guaranteed.
