Some
people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city.
Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to
support your answer.

 

    

 

Of course, both
small towns and big cities have their advantages and disadvantages. For
instinct, the pace of living and working in small towns is much lower than in
big cities and the people in small towns do not have to stand as much the
pressure as people in big cities. However, despite of these advantages I prefer
to live in a big city.

    

   In the big city, there are more companies
and factories, which means more working opportunities than a small town. In
this way, it is easier to find a job in a big city than in a small town. And if
we are not satisfied with our current work, we can also change our work easily.
In the contrary, in a small town, as the working opportunities are rare, people
once get a job, whether they like it or not, they rarely change it and just
keep doing it all their lives. My parents are the best demonstration for this
point. They do not like the work they are doing, however, they will continue
doing them until they are retired.

    

   Second of all, the transportation system in
a small town is not as developed as in a big city. In a small town, if you want
to go to somewhere without having a car, then you may have to call a taxi which
will cost you a lot. While in a big city, you can use the public transportation
system such as the bus and the subways. The traffic fee is very cheap and
especially for the subway system, it is quite convenient and without any
traffic jam.

    

   And additional, people living in a big city
can spend their spare time in different way. After work, they may go shopping,
have dinner with a bunch of friends at restaurant, and then go to some bars for
a cup of drink. However, in a small town, the life is relatively boring
especially at night. People may just stay at home after dinner and watch TV, as
they do not have such places as bars to go at night.
