A nation's businesses must sustain investment in intangible as well as physical assets to compete effectively in international markets. The United states capital investment practices put the country companies at a competitive disadvantage although an enormous pool of investment capital exists.

Shaped by sporadic and unpredictable changes in tax policy and high federal budget deficits , United states capital investment practices encourage both underinvestment and overinvestment. For example, In internal development projects that do not offer immediate profit, such as improving supplier relations , United states companies invest at a low rate and in external projects that yield immediate profit , such as corporate takeovers , United stated invest at a high rate. Also , among different forms of investment United states companies make too few linkages. Such linkages are important because physical assets, such as factories, may not reach their potential level of productivity unless companies make parallel investments in intangible assets such as employee training and product redesign. In general , United States investment practices favor those forms of investment for which financial returns are most readily available unlike Japanese and German investment practices, which focus on companies¡¯ long-term interests . United states companies reduce their chances for future competitiveness by making minimal investments in intangible assets.

谢谢楼主!我的答案如下:

1C,2E,3C,4C,5D,6E,7A,8D?,9A,10D,11C,12A,13B

其中第8题,觉得都没有正确答案,如果把C 中的as well as改成and就对了。D选项,在said后面加上that也就对了。

请讨论!

我的答案:1,不太清楚that指代什么,无从下手,我主要在c,d间犹豫,如果真要选我还是选c

2,E 3,C 4,C 5,D 6,E 7,A 8,D(say后面宾语从句省略that,这种用法可以接受) 9,E(首先根据from...to...排除B,C。D中and前后不并列排除。A中reporting about后不能跟television这句话,至少应该跟about sth吧,所以选E) 10,D 11,B我觉得relationships后应该跟between...and... 请指教
