1. VP, Middleware Messaging Engineering Lead - Hong Kong/Singapore/Shanghai

MW Engineering TDA position:

Job description





  • Collaboration with global managers to drive the firm’s Middleware Messaging strategy.
  • Engineering, design and development of Middleware messaging solutions.
  • Design, analysis, development and implementation of infrastructure solutions for projects and work requests for complex business solutions.
  • Consult with middleware support teams to aid in the design of messaging infrastructure to meet their specific business requirement.
  • Develop custom tools in any of the programming language to monitor messaging infrastructure.

Requirements






  • 10+ years of working experience in Middleware technology.
  • Strong core skills in Tibco Rendezvous (RV, RVRD) messaging product and deep understanding of transport protocols (PTP, multicast/broadcast)
  • Strong core skills in Tibco EMS messaging product.
  • Strong core skills in IBM MQ product.
  • Strong core skills in low latency messaging.
  • Good people management skill.
  • Good project management skill.
  • Good working knowledge of Unix systems.
  • Good knowledge in any of the object oriented programming (C,C#, JAVA, .Net)
  • Knowledge of JMS API and vendor JMS implementations.
  • Good understanding of networking components and protocols (TCP, UDP, IGMP etc)
  • Unix shell scripting in one or more of the common scripting languages (shell, perl, python etc).
  • Systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Initiative, drive and ability to work effectively with limited direction.
  • Ability and desire to learn new technical skills and concepts


2. VP PAC Production Support Manager for Shared Services – Shanghai

Team Overview:
The prime responsibility of the APAC Shared Services Production Services Manager is to manage the 1st and 2nd line support to the trading and risk systems, primarily across the Fixed Income business. The ideal candidate will have experience in Change Management, Release & Deployment Management, and Environment Management. The candidate will have a clear understanding of software testing, as well as a thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. They will be confident with adhering to procedures, and will demonstrate the ability to show resilience when faced with demanding clients


Role / Principal Accountabilities:
• Developing and maintaining ITIL Service Management processes, procedures and work instructions, monitoring compliance to them and undertaking continual improvements as required
• As appropriate, leading and motivating teams to adopt best practices and to demonstrate best-practice both in their work and in that of their Services’ performance
• Reviewing service availability, performance and stability, and proactively identifying service trends and taking the appropriate actions to resolve service related issues
• This role will be the point of contact for Audit, and as such the ideal candidate will be able to clearly document and confidently present adherence to standards and procedures.
• Ownership of Change/Release Management across the Shanghai Fixed Income IT department
• Deliver all required weekly MIS reports as requested by PS global management
• Take ownership of issues and see through to completion
• Run a tight ship on all the teams admin and reporting requirements
• Ability to represent the tema on global/regional calls and forums with mulitple teams across the bank
• Be able to diagnose and effectively communicate/escalate incidents and problems
• Be able to involve the correct resources to address any issues.
• Build strong relationships with the business and gain a good understanding of their processes.
• Build strong relationships with key Technology teams whom we are dependant on.
• Manage Shanghai team of 12 people and team of 4 in Tokyo.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in leading a Production Support team in Fixed Income
• Regional manager of a global team experience
• Very Strong investigative skills, matched by deep techincal and business knowledge
• High level of providing detailed reports of outages and complex support issues that need to be woned by senior Support team members
• Ability to own and cover regional leadership support, representing the global team, or senior Support management as required
• Able to face off to senior management when required
• Working knowledge of Fixed Income products (Rates, Credit, Securitized Products, FX, etc.)
• Able to navigate in UNIX and Windows proficently
• Strong Unix skills, including reading and understanding the UNIX file system.
• Good Sybase knowledge and experience
• A good understanding ITIL practices.
• Able to troubleshoot problems in multiple environments.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Can lead from the front and able to fully manage and run a major incident or global outage
• Experience of deploying large scale global releases with understanding to follow up with all PR checks and ability to deal with any trouble shooting independently
• Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines.
• Able to handle a fast paced trading environment.
• Experience of monitoring software and maintaining and improving rulebases
• Sentinel Experience, BAU support, setting up rules, updating configuration
Desirable:
• Fixed income and derivatives product experience espescially UST and credit prodcuts
• Indepth knowledge of UST Rolls and Indices used for credit trading
• Strong SQL knowledge, able to trouble shoot DB issues, and build queries for table data analysis
• Autosys setup and configuration, understanding of JIL definitions, and Max Run alarms
• Experience with electronic trading applications have connectivity to external trading applications such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb,eSpeed and MarkItWire to send/retrieve information.
• Good partnership skills working with both global support team and Development teams


Extra Notes:
The ideal candidate will be a hard working, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.






3, Computing Grid Lead Developer – shanghai

Role Overview:

Developer required in the grid computing team. This front office team is responsible for developing the grid computing solution used across the company globally.
This is a growing team, and presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to work on a range of interesting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the teams across the company to provide technical guidance and design advice.
• Work with teams in other regions to ensure global consistency
• Development of compute grid infrastructure
• Work with team to continuously improve the agile and responsive work practices

Requirements:

• Strong skills in C++, .Net/C# and Java
• C++ on Linux and Windows
• Understanding of TCP and UDP sockets
• Experience of multi-threaded distributed applications
• Ability to manage time well, work to deadlines and under pressure
• Good communications skills essential to work with local and overseas colleagues
• Willingness to take collective & personal responsibility for deliverables
• Work from initially broad requirements and evolving this to a concrete deliverable
• Interact with people at all levels from both technology and the business
• An interest in the financial sector
• Experience / understanding of grid computing / HPC
