Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.
(+) 身边的环境对人的态度有直接的影响,日常的力量。
(-)但是社会的影响是深层的,根本性的。
(-)两种因素作用的明显程度,随社会现状的不同而变化。
In the issue, the speaker successfully notice the important effect from people's immediate situation or surroundings conducted on people's attitude. However, the speaker failed to recognize the radical influence and affection from the society as whole. Actually, both immidiate environment and the whole society show their power with differnt obvious degree in different considerations.
The immediate surrouondings can affect people a lot with the daily power directly. Since one baby comes to the world, all its development, of course including the attitude, is in the influence of his direct conditions, its parents, the family atmosphere and so on. All things companying its growth help one person build up a certain attitude towards the world. For example, Daguerre, the great English physist, liked meditating foundamental concepts and trying to searching answers to all he didn't understand. Such a attitude about thinking was due to that his father always let little Daguerre sit aside and listen quietly when he was talking with his friends about many commentary problems. And for another thing, Daguerre was gentle, enjoyed listening with thinking, which as good character came from his mother who was genteel, temperated and good at observing daily things. From so many daily details of Daguerre's childhood, we can see how immediate surroundings conduct the direct and daily effect to one's attitude. From every grinning, every behavior, every talking, people are immerged in such influence without doubt.
However, it's clear the immediate surroundings just conduct its effect from daily and concrete things, but all these are only near the surface. Actually, with more radical and deep influence, the society as a whole is effecting people's attitude simmering below the surface. Before deeply talking, let's think about the example of the lost generation of America. All the generation shared the attitude towards life like lossing in it, not knowing where they were, not knowing where to go, thinking everyting from their own angels, and tending to solving questions in a dissapointing way. How came a generation, so many people share such common characters? The answer is the American society at that time, passing through the time full of pursuit of freedom, justice, democracy, and human beings emancipation to the opposite realiy, as a result, of mass young man died in the World War One, with all cozening concepts of sacrifactory and honor. It was the society as a whole, disappointing and crude, that influence the young people's loss and pessimistism. Then compared with the effect of immediated situation, without dubiousity, the society show its deeper and overwhelming influence.
Neither effect of immediated surroundings nor of the socity as a whole could be ignored when analyzing human's attitude. And what we should be clear is that their obvious degree of effect varies in diffenrent conditions. In peaceful situations, the immediate situations catch more attention of observors. Whether one person is introverted or extroverted, and whether rude or politeness, all these may be influenced stroungly by the immediated environment. But in age of turbulence, we can obviously see the effect of society as so called collective unconscious. Good instances are the cruel behavior from Japan sodiers in slaughter to Chinese people, and the German to the Jews. To a big degree, actually, they had no clear mind, decision about what they were doing and whey they did these. But the influence was overpowering. Therefore, in unpeaceful times, the society as a whole conduct its effect more obviously due to all attentions are concentrated in one point, and individual difference is broken seriously. And in peaceful life, to the opposite, the immediate situation is more obvious.
Above all, when discussing which, after all, palys a more important role in one's attitude, I clearly support the society, for its deeply and raidical influence. At the same time, only pondering differnt effect in differnt conditions, can we get a more complete and cricical idea towards the problem.
