关于一篇essay

申请有一篇essay的题目是：Does a corporation's focus on social responsibility enhance or diminish the bottom line. 这句谁能给个具体的翻译，是说一个公司把重点放在社会责任上是会增加还是减少其盈亏底线吗？这个bottom line不是很明白。大家也帮忙就这篇essay想几个观点。。感激不尽啊！！！！

Bottom line是抽象定义的
可以是现实的cost,可以是ethical standard,可以是regulation and corporate policy,可以是customer's willingness to pay,可以是pricing,可以是profitability,可以是founder's vision,可以是discipline of product or service...etc.

这题要由申请人先定义出内心的bottom line是什么
再探讨会enhance or diminish
来看出申请人的社会目的与经营哲学
同时也看出价值观与人格

This is basically an “opinion essay”. You need to write either one way or the other, whether you believe that spending money on sustainability is worthwhile or not in terms of the bottom line, and then give the REASONS why. Ideally you also have an example from YOUR work place, and even more ideally it is something you yourself worked on or even LED.Hope this helps friend and GOOD LUCK

bottom line在这个语境下特指盈亏，说白了就是注重社会责任是有助于赚钱与否。
