If we randomly pick out one policy, what is the probability that it is one having both correct paper and correct electric record? 答案:94% 答案过程看不太懂,但是觉得好像不太对,少考虑了一些情况。过程如下: 设总数为X policies,则既有非P又有非E为3%X;60%的非P中为非E,则非P为3%X/60%;75%的非E为非P,则非E为3%/75%,那么非P与非E一共有(3%X/60%+3%X/75%-3%X) ,那么P与E一共有X-(3%X/60%+3%X/75%-3%X),则其概率为[X-(3%X/60%+3%X/75%-3%X)]/X=94%
我理解的过程说的是:求出非P的一共有5%,非E的一共4%,而非P非E的3%,就可以求出非P+非E+非P非E=5%+4%-3%=6%,那么根据题意一个policy既可能只有paper record或者只有electric record,有可能两者都有,那么我们去掉了incorrect的情况,剩下的就是correct的情况,即100%-6%=94%,可是这个94%里包括只有correct paper record的情况,只有correct electric record的情况,还包括既有correct paper record又有correct electrice record的情况,而题目所问的只有correct paper record又有correct electric record的情况,那么答案应该不可能等于94%吧,应该等于或小于94%
