前天校友面试的是个 credit suisse 的 VP recruiting,面试结束的时候她分享了一些她 recruit 各校 MBA 过程中的一些研究,很有意思,分享给大家。

1. Harvard - they have high attitude, think them as the blue blood of MBA.  Those ladies are the ones who will go for afternoon tea with their husbands while making a killing at work.

2. Kellog - they're definitely extrovert and talkative, they're the sales and marketing type of people.

3. Wharton - they're the quiet group of people staying together at recruiting event, but they bond, really BOND together.

4. NYU - they're everywhere in the recruiting event, social-able with everyone for 5min or 10min talk, then quickly dispersed after the event.  It might be partly due to their NYU environment, where people go to everywhere after school, not so connected.

5. Chicago U - they're excited and talkative on the analytic and mathematical details, but they're definitely social-able, they're just into those math stuff.

6. Columbia - in the recruiting event, they quickly dispersed into the group and talk to others from different schools, but they'll come back like a gravity and group together at the end of the event.

I'm not sure how applicable this is. Basically you're talking about 1) only those recruiting for banking from these schools 2) their performance at recruiting events rather than in their real lives.

There are so many factors at play. Some people don't want to be seen as trying to steal the limelight, so they try to blend in. Some want to stand out, so they talk a lot which others may find arrogant. Then there is also the problem of size (how many are actually fighting for these jobs?), both in % terms and absolute numbers. Different schools may also have different cultural protocols at recruiting events. For instance, having grade non-disclosure might mean that students at the school are a bit less cut-throat competitive in their approach at these events.
