Hi
I am a foreigner living and working in Beijing. I would like to take GMAT test in Beijing. I have a question regarding the test. I spoke to a person from ETS/Prometric about the test registration, and she told me that I have to pay 1890 RMB thru Bank of China. I went to Bank of China, they had some forms to fill in Chinese, which I did. Then came the bad side... the computer could not take my Passport number, as my passsport number has less charectors than the one in a chinese passport.
This created a fear in me, that after paying 225 US$, and not been allowed to write the test, will be a big loss. I have been preparing GMAT for about 2 months (using the JJ as well). Thanks for all the guys who contribute the JJ. Though I cannot speak and read chinese, I take the hlpe of my frnds in here to assist me in the translation.
My question is, is the GMAT the same all over the world?. The JJ is use to prepare, are they same in singapore, malaysia, europe etc...or is it that, these JJ will not be of any use to me if I take the test in singapore or any other place, outside china. If there is so much trouble to register for GMAT (for a foreigner) then I presume, that during the test date, at the center will also be some issues, like english name, not correlating with the chinese name etc..etc..
Would it be a good idea to use the JJ from this site and take the GMAT in singapore?. I depend quite a lot of the JJ (i am being honest). If the JJ is same all over the world, then i would prefer to take in singapore, as it is easy for them to register and the formalities are much easy. My test date, planned is on the 22nd of July (trust me, I shall contribute my JJ as well)
I hope to get some feedback from you guys, cause you are experts in this. Thanks mates.
