申请商学院的PHD需要学术背景吗

If the PhD program you're interested in is very quantitatively demanding, say, finance or operation research, it's almost a requirement to have had linear algebra, calculus. At the very minimum, several college level math classes will be needed. That's why many top programs actually admit students who have had a PhD in physics, math or engineering. These people are very good at building models. Check with the specific program to see if it is more math oriented.

As for academic background, I heard you better have had published scholarly work before applying. Check the PhD forum.

说得很对！对于PhD， 工作经验并不重要，重要的是学术能力！事实上， 美国的顶尖商学院PhD program录取的中国人大多都是在美国已经拿到master degree的，大陆学生如果文科背景，又没有突出的科研论文，那么申请难度极大！

当然没有什么事是不可能的，只是你要多多做一些research，了解各个学校的偏好和往年录取中国学生的情况，再做决定！否则，将会白白浪费很多时间、精力和金钱

如果有工程学位，再多个顶尖MBA，是否更有利于申请顶尖商学院的PhD呢？

多谢各位了！XM知道了。还有一事相问，除了MBA能否申请商学院的其他Master，比如master of marketing？因为MBA实在是有点贵。

去美国商学院读书绝对会是你这一生最大的一比教育投资，所以一定要考虑好投资与回报的关系。另外，我觉得你现在对自己将来的职业发展道路还没有想清楚！不要单纯为了出国而申请。

如果你的财力不够，没关系！现在top 20的MBA大多数都能给中国学生无需担保人的贷款

美国的商学院有的有Master of Accounting, Master of Finance什么的，如果是两年的program，那么学费和MBA相差无几。也有些是一年的program，比如Master of Accounting,但是签证风险很大

记住，你一定要想清楚将来你想做什么，想要做什么样的工作！不要盲目的申请
