A is the tallest among 65% of the students, but not taller than the other 35% students. 1) The shortest guy in the other 35% students is at least 19. Insufficient. A could be 19, 18, 17 ... 2) At least one of the 65% student group A is in has a height of 19. In sufficient. A coud be 19, 20, 21 ... Combined together, A can only be 19. According to your 1), why A could not be 20,21,22...? I don't think A's stature has anything to do with the shortest kid in the other 35% students.
In your 2), also, why A could not be 18,17,16? I don't think A's stature has anything to do with the premise.
Thank you and looking forward to your reply. |
