Historian: we can learn about te medical histroy of individuals through chemical analysis of their hair ,it is likely,for ecxmple,that Isaac Newton's psychological problems were due to mercury poisoning; traces of mercury were found in his hair. analysis is now being done on a lock of Beethoven's hair .Although no convincing argument has shown that Beethoven ever had a venereal disease,some people hypothesize that veneral disease caused his deafness. Since mercury was commonly ingested in Beethoven's time to treat venereal disease, of researchers fink a trace of mercury in his hair, we can conclude that this hypothesis is correct.

我觉得这个事排除他因吧。文中说可有通过分析头发来了解医药的历史。这个假设是花柳病让贝多芬聋了，而在那个年代人们吃水银来治花柳病，历史学家在贝多芬的头发里发现了水银，从而认定了这个假设。
B选项排除了那个年代某些人没事就吃水银的可能性，从而进一步认定了贝多芬吃水银就是为了治花柳病，而花柳病让贝多芬聋了这一假设。

B选项的意思只是说，有些人不吃水银吧，并没有没事就吃水银这个意思啊，难道是题目本身的问题？
