求指点迷津，OG12 112
The average hourly wage of television assemblers in Vernland has long been significantly lower than that in neighboring Borodia. Since Borodia dropped all tariffs on Vernlandian televisions three years ago, the number of televisions sold annually in Borodia has not changed. However, recent statistics show a drop in the number of television assemblers in Borodia. Therefore, updated trade statistics will probably indicate that the number of televisions Borodia imports annually from Vernland has increased.
Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument depends?
(A) The number of television assemblers in Vernland has increased by at least as much as the number of television assemblers in Borodia has decreased.

我知道本题的解题思路，我也同意C选项，但是！C选项后面说“during the past three years”让我直接排除了该选项。
我的理由是文中说的是current statistics……Therefore, updated trade statistics will ……所以我觉得C选项中讲前三年的平均生产时间没变和current的结论应该是无关的！
怎么可以从过去推到将来的结果呢？？？比如说我7岁之前不喝咖啡，就可以推到我7岁之后也不喝咖啡吗？？？
所以我极度混乱，求牛牛们指点迷津。。。

你想太多了。。
recent statistics 统计的是什么？肯定还是过去的数据对吧？
因为过去一段时间（就假设3年）assemblers下降了，所以才能暗示出B本地生产的电视机数量少了
又因为the number of televisions sold annually in Borodia has not changed，从而才能预测要从V进口。
但是GAP是，assemblers的效率如果增加，那么人数减少，效率增加，就无法推断出B本地生产的电视机数量少了。也就不正确了。
所以为C

对啊同问最后一句话：the number of televisions Borodia imports annually from Vernland has increased. 答案与这句话无关

而且这题两个GAP：
1就是assember number下降---TV在B国数量下降（C选项解决）
2.TV 在B国的数量下降---B国从V国进口TV增加（C选项没涉及）
