At a certain company, 25 percent of the employees are male and 50 percent of the employees are sales staff. What is the number of employees at this company?

(1) Exactly 7 of the employees at the company are males who are sales staff.

(2) There are 16 more female employees than male employees at the company.

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.

E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

我选D，但答案B

我的解答如下：

（1）7/(25%*50%)

(2)16/(75%-25%)

male/employee=25%,sales staff/employee=50%,这俩数相乘，没意义啊~只有A/B=。。B/C=。。。，然后求A/C，才能你这么算吧~

75%-50%，也是同理，两个不相干怎么就相减呢~女/总数=75%，sales staff/总数=50%，这俩想减又想干何啊~

这样做吧~

条件二根据原题25 percent of the employees are male ，可以直接算出总人数。男=x,女=3x,然后条件说3x-x=16,这不x就有了，然后总数就是4x.可以算出。

条件一略麻烦：

设：男=x,则女=3x,男中有1/a是sales staff(以后简称ss)，女中有1/b是sales staff，则有如下：
总数=4x=男SS+男非ss+女ss+女非ss=x/a+(x-x/a)+3x/b+(3x-3x/b)，所以求出x就能求出总数4x.

可以列一式字：(x/a+3x/b)/4x=50%
条件一说，x/a=7,我们看到由于不知b的值，所以不知x.

条件二：原先的打错了现修改完，应该没有什么问题，总之条件二能推出
条件一：
我的理解是25%的男员工里一半是staff一半不是，所以25%*50%=男员工里staff占总员工人数的百分比，
才会有7/(25%*50%)
