Partly because of bad weather, but also partly because some major pepper growers have switched to high-priced cocoa, world production of pepper has been running well below worldwide sales for three years. 不确定自己理解题目有没有错? “the switch by some growers from pepper to cocoa left those growers no better off than if none of them had switched” 这些从pepper换cocoa的人，比他们没有换的情况，对他们而言没有比较好。

我选D，因为我觉得既然cocoa也因为天气影响而产量下降，依前面pepper的推理，Partly because of bad weather而影响产量下降，而价格升高， cocoa也会有一样的效果，所以对这些换的人来说，有比较好!

我也是个新手，就是随便说一下，如果不对的话还请楼主见谅。

这道题的问法Infer,按照OG上对Infer的解释以及解题思路，对题目的选项只能做一步推理，而这步推理往往是取反，而不能使用其他的途径推断。原文中只是提到Bad weather 对pepper的影响，并没有提对cocoa的影响，所以如此推断必定要有多次推理，而且D选项的Main object和主题是无关的，个人认为不能选D。
