以下是引用MayFair在2006-9-14 5:07:00的发言:任总督 is just a honorary position. 在选举的时候,it is the quantity that counts。 The candidates always want to get as many votes as possible. That is why they try to be friendly to minorities and win their votes. I dont know about what the japanese position is in peru, therefore, i cant comment on it. i will stop commenting on canada as well, because i dont know much about it either. But if you look at the political/social/cultrual structures in the states, and if you know alot of the american history, you will find how dominate the whites are in every level of this society, and you will see no hopes for asian to become the president. Chinese aboard dont care about politics much. Many of us just care of our own business. It is sad, but it is also part of our culture. It cant be neglected. Will it be changed? I dont know. African americans have a better chance to become the president because they know how to get united and fight as a group. America even has an official holiday for the memory of Martin Luther King, the leader of Civil Right. |
