I browsed some posts in CD, and found that someone who claims that he got final scores 730 for the test of PR2004 with 2 math errors and 8 verbal errors. I assume they might also download PR2004 from CD. However, I did a couple of tests of PR2004 and the scores are very lower with even lower number of errors I made in test. For example, I only got 600 with 2 math errors and 8 verbal errors. And once I got 650 with 0 math error and 5 verbal errors.
I'm really frustrated with those scores and so surprised at seeing other posts wiith the same number of errors but > 700 from PR2004.
Does it mean that PR2004 will automatically apply some algorism to calaulate your final scores according to what kind error you make such as sc, rc or cr? Or whatelse reason?................
You should check if your errors appeared mostly in the first ten subjects? or even the first five. Often, if this happens, your score will be poorer than you imagine. The accurate rate is not the only factor to calculate your score. However, I don't think your scores in PR2004 reflect your real strength according to what you said. Just pay more attention to the first 10 subjects. Good luck.
I checked the error list of diagnostic Score Report. The test I got 600 consists of 2 errors(one is of 12th and the other is of 28th, the math is only 40) and 8 verbal errors(4, 9, and 23.24, 28, 33, 36, 38, and verbal is 30). Do you mean that Princeton Review employs the somewhat similiar scoring mechanism like ETS's?
That's the only reason I can count on, but is there any sisters and brothers who run into same situation as I did? I am still feeling upset because it means no error you can make at all by careless in the first 20 questions. Otherwise, you will die as hard as hell!
