1.      GWD-7-Q22 to Q25形成火山的两个机理  难!

Because the source of a hot spot remains fixed while a surface plate moves over it, over a long period of time an active plume creates a chain of volcanoes or volcanic islands, a track marking the position of the plume relative to the moving plate. 

 

以前选了A。讨论帖解释的很好。

我觉得是这样的:不知道你见过缝纫机没有,呵呵,那根针只是上下动,底下的布向前移动,就能缝出一条线。线的前端就是早缝上去的,后端就是晚缝上去的。这个和地下一个固定的熔岩灶上面慢慢移动的板块道理一样。只有一个灶点,不可能在同一个时间形成一条链。顺着板块移动的方向,火山的年龄越来越大。

A:链的轮廓是curved?这个没有道理。

关键什么是chainoutline?指的是你从空中鸟瞰这条链,看到的形状。

链的outline是由板块相对灶点移动的方向决定的。

如果板块是直着移动,outline就是straight;板块是有角度的移动,outline才有可能是curved。文章没有说板块移动的方向,无从判断是不是curved

 

板块本是平的,底下有hotspothotspot往上冒,就冲出板块并导致板块局部变形,向上突起,也就是冲出一个火山包。很多年过去了,这个板块和上面的火山包漂了很远,spot是不动的,所以上面又是平整的板块了。再一次岩浆鼓出,形成火山包,一个年轻的火山包。所以different in ages.

我的理解:原文说an established plume is a hot spot,

因此a hot spot就是地柱,是已经爆发过的火山,所以A说An untapped reservoir 就不对。

不知道我的理解是否正确,请NN指点,觉得这篇火山很难理解,先谢谢了。

这篇文章比较难,但以前讨论的只有一个帖子,讨论过第23题。

我把第22,23题的解释都贴上来了,帮助大家理解。

请教第24,25题,我在题目里用黄色MARK出来了,先谢谢了!
