choose C.  it compared the expense of   process of cleaning the coal and  the process of

filtering the emissions , which are refered in the passage above.

why not choose "e"? I think "E" is the most suitable answer because it includes not only the cost but also something relevant to the whole competitive advantage.

想了想E也许是不对,因为问题和选项不搭边
