If a poor corn harvest is predicted, prices of corn futures rise; if a bountiful corn harvest is predicted, prices of corn futures fall. This morning meteorologists are predicting much-needed rain for the corn-growing region starting tomorrow. Therefore, since adequate moisture is essential for the current crop's survival, prices of corn futures will fall sharply today.

我的逻辑：
D 不能预判雨量充沛丰收的效果和病虫害的效果的综合效果是导致欠收还是丰收
而A 能够预判雨量充沛但是不在授粉期，所以结果是欠收，价格上涨，因此是weaken

Assumption: If there is rain providing adequate moisture, there will be a bountiful harvest.

A = refute the assumption: rain is only needed in cirtical stage of corn growth.
D = out of scope

For D to be effective, one has to establish that the anouncement of disease will cause prediction of poor harvest.
