《9道》 的第8题，B为何不对？

8. The survival of the publishing industry depends upon the existence of a public who will buy the printed word in the form of newspapers, books and magazines. Over the past several years, however, the advance of electronic media, particularly CD-ROMs, online computer services, and the Internet, has made information available to the public electronically without the need for printed materials. As the availability of electronic media increases and as it is more easily accessible, the public has less need for printed materials. So the publishing industry is threatened by the advance of the computer information age.

思路: The survival of the publishing industry depends upon the existence of a public who will buy the printed word in the form of newspapers, books and magazines.（premise） Over the past several years, however, the advance of electronic media, particularly CD－ROMs, online computer services, and the Internet, has made information available to the public electronically without the need for printed materials.(已经的的确确发生了的fact) As the availability of electronic media increases and as it is more easily accessible, the public has less need for printed materials.（作者的证据） So the publishing industry is threatened by the advance of the computer information age. （作者的推论）

前提是结论存在的先决条件，是必要的；而事实不一定是必要的，因为事实不是唯一的，可以用其他的事实替代；前提是不能替代的。

而此题中的第一个boldface句子，是必须存在，才能推出结论的。

而inference和conclusion个人认为在此题没有什么区别。

因而我认为B比D更准确

句中第一句话The survival of the publishing industry depends upon the existence of a public who will buy the printed word in the form of newspapers, books and magazines.

就是the first-premise啊！同样是不可缺少的前提

不是么？

想起个例子

法国家禽养殖业正受II型禽流感的威胁（背景）。Frank在他的养鸡场引入了West禽流感控制系统（事实?前提？），之后三个月在他的养鸡场再没有发生禽流感事件（事实？前提？）。因此可以得出：Frank避免了这场灾难（结论）。无疑，West禽流感控制系统也是有积极意义的（推论）。据报道，在Frank引入该系统的时候，欧洲的禽流感已经受到控制（证据？事实？）。

I can't tell the diffrences between fact and premise,and between evidence and fact.Further more,the difference between premise and evidence  also confuses me.

Maybe there is no variation among these three concepts.The only way that we can draw out the appropriate answer is the clauses following these concepts.YES or NO?

第一句话是前提

但是第二句话（BF）是一个事实，科技的进步是事实，并非使得文章结论成立的前提。

前提是使得文章成立的必要条件，而evidence及fact是可以改变而不影响结论的成立必要性的。

大可将第二句话换成别的例子或者事实来做so这个推论

但是如果第一句话不成立，即人们不看纸质报章的话，因科技进步而造成的影响是对纸质媒体的威胁的推论就没有成立的基础。

楼主是不是想说：只要是结论或者推论中出现的成分，那与这些成分相关的东西就是文章的前提呢？

那举个例子：

糖是甜的，水A也是甜的，所以是水A里有糖

照楼主的思路，糖是甜的是前提咯？

如果

选项A：是前提

选项B：是事实

楼主选什么？

个人拙见：

premise在题目中可以出现，也可以不出现

它是用来证明所述内容在一定范围，一定条件下是正确的，从而使得结论成立。其是不能更换的

evidence：事实或者定理公理之类，是用来support结论的正确性，是可以更换的。

结论中出现的内容可能涉及argument中很多的成分，但是有些是evidence，有些是其他。并不能全部认为都是permise。否则这样一来，全部的boldface都变成了条件结论型，而没有其他的类型。

所以对于上述题目，我觉的D说第一个BF是事实这点要比B好。
