NYU Stern & Columbia 哪一个更好？

COLUMBIA... as long as business school is concerned.

I think the only advantage nyu has over columbia is that nyu might be a better schools for some artists/actors. Either paris hilton or the ocean twins are going to nyu now. So you might have better opportunities to see some celebrities on a somehow regular basis at nyu.

Columbia definitely has a stronger reputation vs Stern.  

But I heard that Stern offeres more variety of finance classes than Columbia, if that concentration is what you are interested in.   I think Stern is coming up on the rankings.  Stern also has a strong alumni network in Wall Street.  Basing on my campus visit experiences, I feel Stern has a stronger student community too.  I may be wrong. Just for your reference.

Yes, C is an ivy league. But each with its own merits. just some of my thoughts

1. Ranking: CBS>Stern

2:facilities---Stern: great building and superb facilities vs CBS: rat-laden campus and cracking building

3: curriculum: Stern: more flexible >CBS

4: placement prospects: probably the same with CBS a little bit ahead (in particular consulting).

5: reputation/influence: CBS>Stern

If your target job is IB, your chance is pretty much the same. NYU may have sent more students to Wall Street than any other school, according to their Admission Director.
