on-campus visit不去是不是就没机会了？

一个学校给我电话面试了一次，然后邀请我去on-campus visit。看样子是要on-campus visit之后才决定要谁不要谁。虽然学校给报销机票住宿，可是没时间且签证恐怕拿不到，还要留下纪录，到时候真的要去读书时候签证受影响。如果不去，恐怕机会就没了吧？

请问这种事情要怎么处理呢？？？不去的话，要求再video面试一次不行么？

真不知道该怎么办。去一次美国至少要一周，我一周至少至少要见一次导师，这根本瞒不住，本来导师现在对我意见就大，，，，

那位同学有经验，给看看出出主意把，，，

Ask the university to have phone or video interviews. The reason is that it takes much time for you to get a visa, and the chance of obtaining visa may be low................

You can talk to the school and request for a phone interview. That is what I did.
Interview will definately matter, positively or negatively. But once there is a chance, you should catch it.

楼上的斑竹，你也遇到过这样的情况？我记得你在美国啊，在美国还不去on-campus Interview啊？

我是觉得on-site interview要比phone-interview效果要好，面对面的交流。我很担心如果不去on-campus，换成phone interview，会大打折扣。

我之前已经phone interview过一次了，人家对我很满意，感觉出来的。

Are you in Singapore? I think it's not wise to have a bad relationship with your current boss... Anyway, they must be interested in you otherwise they will not invite you. Tell them it is not feasible for you to go to the U.S. currently and see their response.

do they know that you r not in US? I mean it is a little hard for people who are not in US to do a on-campus visit. if u can make it, sure, that will be nice. but if it is too much trouble, you should mention to them and see what's their opinion.
