很多学校还没到第一轮发榜日呢，duke是16日，wharton是22日，chicago是1月13日，很多学校都是1月份发榜。

i'm not sure which time period is better for admission announcement, before or after the holiday season. it sucks for those to have the holiday after getting dinged, but it's still nerve-racking for those who're still anticipating a good news after the holiday. so the best way to face the outcome is to leave it alone.

then sometime on a january morning, u get a phone call.

"hello, this is derrick bolton. congratulations!"

"sorry, i'm not interested in sweepstakes. please take my phone number off your telemarketing list!!!"

"ok, never mind."

???UNC是early decision，可以成为第零轮，而且要求很早交保证金。不知道有没有人那时候申请。
