关于assumption

请问大家，怎么区分assumption和support？比如说一道支持题，怎么区分选项里的assumption和真正的support呢？

还有一道weaken题，没有搞明白：

Five years ago, during the first North American outbreak of the cattle disease CXC, the death reate from the disease was 5 percent of all reported cases whereas today the corresponding figure is over 18 percent. It is clear, therefore, that during these 5 years, CXC has increased in virulence.

答案是：Since the first outbreak, farmers have learned to treat mild cases of CXC and no longer report them to veterinarians or authorities.

treat完了又不报告，跟总的死亡率有什么关系?

assumption都可以成为support的答案，也就是说assumption是support答案的子集。

因为农民学会了自己处理，这样报告的数量下降，基数（分母）下降导致比例上升。他因导致比例上升，所以weaken了病毒更加凶恶。

assumption一定是必须要有的条件，没有就会使结论错误。

support往往是不一定必需的条件，没有也不一定结论就错误（往往是引入新的文中没有提到的条件）

写出assumption往往可以作为support的答案，但并非所有assumption都可以作为support的答案，所以认为assumption是support答案的子集是不对的。

Agree with An. Assumption and support are not the same. Assumption is hidden in the argument, while support always gives new information. You can argue that assumption defintely "support" the argument because without it the argument will not hold. But in GMAT, they are two different subjects.
