We are looking for one or two highly skilled and motivated individuals to workas full-time research professionals at the National University of Singapore'sbusiness school for at least one year. The start date is flexible. You couldstart by working remotely or on a part-time basis. The full-time position’s compensationis competitive with an expected annual salary of Singapore dollar $60,000. Wewill also help sponsor working visa (i.e., Employment Pass).
This position is ideal for individualswith a long-term interest in economics/finance/accounting research. We welcomestudents who want to apply for/switch to Ph.D. programs in accounting, finance,economics, or any other fields at the business school. You will be mentored by NUS Business SchoolProfessors Yupeng Lin, Jean Zeng, and Yibin Liu. A successful candidate canparticipate in the academic life at NUS Business School, including attendingresearch seminars and Ph.D. courses. Wewill also provide mentorship and guidance for applying to NUS Ph.D. and other leadingbusiness Ph.D. programs.
The research projects will broadlyrevolve around ESG, social media/network and banking. You will work with us on varioustasks, including data collection and analysis, managing large data sets,statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews,summarizing research findings, and editing research papers.

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will: (i) have a solidquantitative background (incl. statistics and econometrics);
(ii) havestrong programming skills (extensive experience with either Stata, R, SAS, orPython is a must); (iii) be ableto work independently to solve problems; (iv) have along-term interest in pursuing a Ph.D. degree at a business school. (v) be wellorganized and pays attention to details
The ideal candidate will be highlymotivated and self-directed, adept at learning new technical skills whenneeded. · A CV/resume. · A short letter describing: o pastresearch projects o how many hours you can work each week and when you can start to work as a full-timeresearch assistant o relevant classes that you have taken (e.g., economics, statistics etc.)
