Did Insurance Company K have more than $300 millioin in total net profits last year?

(1) Last year Company K paid out $0.95 in claims for every dollar of premiums collected.

(2) Last year Company K enrned a total of $150 million in profits from the investment of accumulated surplus premiums from previous years.

选项没看懂，“paid out $0.95 in claims for every dollar of premiums collected” 是什么意思？
premium怎么理解？
accumulated surplus premiums是什么概念？

premium是保险公司的术语，具体怎么翻译我也不知道，不过这道题能从collected这个词推断出premium就是保险公司的revenue
