求给目标学校和定位

各位好，我刚刚工作不久，有计划积累几年工作经验然后出国读MBA。
最近在网上看关于MBA和学校的信息和资料，感觉对不同学校的侧重点不是很清楚。有偏finance的，有偏marketing的，好像和我的专业都不是完全符合。
说一下我自己的背景吧。
国内普通二本机械专业
英国top30的工管硕士
现在在做notebook的TPM项目管理，职业长期发展是项目管理到产品管理的方向吧。
公司是500强的子公司。

希望大家给点适合我的背景的目标学校。

现在想这个问题太早了，先定出来时间计划，把GT考出来吧。争取工作3年后，能有比较好的成绩冲击名校。至于定位，很重要的相关因素是成绩。

嗯嗯其实我想知道做项目或者做产品，去读MBA有没有意义。好像大多数都是做finance marketing或者咨询的。

Hello there,
Good to hear from you!
So, the real answer to your question is very simple - you simply go to the best ranked school you can without too much regard for Industry. So where you should go will depend on your profile - your GMAt, GPA, TOEFL, work experience, leadership, volunteer work and extra curricular activities.

And once you have that, you can start matching your schools.

Sorry to bother you like this. I saw you replied most of our posts. I was frustrated. My background is agriculture. What I want to do post-MBA is agricultural investment and acquisiton. But I am struggling on choosing school. Would you please kindly help? Thanks.

Hi Jon,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Here is some information. I gradauate from Agriculture University with a master degree, GPA 3.67/ same major in college, didnt transfer GPA in college. Currently work for a US company in dairy industry. Leading company in this area, but not a typical famous . I joined this
company as a marketing coordinater then got promted as key account manager, managing 70% of total business.

I didnt have a lot of vulunteer work, but I donate to hunger program every month for nearly 3 years. G690/ T99. English was my work language, but I did not ace it.

I would like to learn more about investment, merger and acquistion. I thought there would be a big opportunity in agriculture although it took time to see the result. But agriculture really need more attention in this industry. But I am frustrated on how to pick the right school.

No worries! Happy to help here.
So, the first thing is I have to admit that I don’t know much of anything about any specialization in MBAs with agriculture (I mean there are none. You are actually the first person who has EVER asked me!

There may be some schools which ALSO have totally separate agriculture programs (outside the MBA) which might be interesting (Like I know Cornell has what is considered a good school or agriculture). But again, no need for you to pursue an MBA with that specialization, but a regular good MBA at a good school should be enough.

The way to pick the school is actually easier than you think - you simply apply to the best schools you can get into. If I know more about you, your education, your GMAT, your TOEFL, etc. etc. I can estimate for you the approximate level.

Hi Jon,

Thanks. I know Cornell and Wisconsin are both good in agriculture. I have looked up that Notre Dame had put a lot of resources in agruculture if I understand right.

I got a master degree in agriculutre. GMAT is 690, TOEFL is 99 both are not great. GPA is 3.67. Could you let me know the approximate level, and which school may be a good fit.

至少先工作两年，在这两年的工作中思考一下自己未来学习的方向吧。从目前来讲，你现在马上去读个美国的MBA，和刚刚完成英国MBA，对于你的收获来说，没有什么本质的区别和提高呀。
