Marketing Research硕士毕业，在美大公司工作两年，申Marking PhD可以吗？

大家好！
在下真心请教各位大牛关于申请marketing博士的问题，我的背景如下-
国内本科文科加金融双学位 GPA 3.2
美国市场研究硕士商学院排名还ok GPA 3.7
在校期间做过一些research project，但是不足以说是RA，也更没有参与过或者发表过论文（鄙视我吧）
毕业后拿到一家大公司的offer，做research analyst，目前工作两年 - 思想动摇，觉得在工业界也就这么回事儿，早八晚五的靠时间，虽然公司很好工资也算不错的，但很没有满足感。
确定了申请博士，GRE要重新考，争取拿到competitive的高分

恳请各位指导，像这种在学术界没有发表文章没什么真正研究经验，又混过工业界的人，到底有没有希望可以申请比较好学校的marketing博士？该怎么准备下研究经验呢？

为什么没有跟教授做论文或者RA呢？？？

因为当时的目标是找工作来着，没有想要搞学术或者做论文之类的。。。现在又觉得工作很无聊，要不然申请读博士吧。。。纠结。。。

楼主为什么不去申请MBA呢？如果志在学术的话可以走PHD的路线，不过背景还是很适合攻读MBA，对于职业也能成为很好的助力。

Hi there. I think I can provide some advice here. Honestly speaking, it would be hard for you to get into a good PHD program with your current background. As you may know, an academic and research background is the most important factor in applying for PHD programs. So far, your career trajectory is very job-oriented. Without much research experience or academic achievements, it would be really challenging for you to apply to any PHD programs. I would suggest you get in touch with your school professors or people around you who have good academic backgrounds, and ask for feedback and suggestions. They will have more solid advice for you to get closer to your goal.

Thanks a lot for your honest advice. I agree that my background is very job-oriented and I need to do something different if I want to work closer to a PhD goal. I am currently working on my GMAT while still working full time in market research function, once my GMAT is done, I think I will start get in in touch with professors and see if there is any opportunity to get my hands on some academia project...

请教牛人我本硕新闻系没有数学、统计的基础申请mkt phd可能吗我真的比较喜欢研究消费者行为也不怕辛苦（个人有点自虐倾向）

Hey there,
This is something you will have to clear with the program itself. Usually the requirement for a PhD is to have a Masters int he same field. You CAN bypass this iif the school thinks you are good enough or have enough experience to make up for it, or possess some unique knowledge etc. But usually you will have to ask the admissions office of each program you are interested in whether it is okay for them.
