我读的题目是这个意思

先是说 对于经济增长缓慢的预测导致了美元的贬值， 然而列 作者说 要是没有政府的财政赤字的话 就不会出现美元贬值     But that prediction would not have adversely affected the dollar had it not been for the government's huge budget deficit, which must therefore be decreased to prevent future currency declines.这个我觉得是个倒装句加上虚拟语气    就是说是赤字和经济增长缓慢的预测导致了美元贬值

D 选项说的是  就算没有政府的赤字 单是经济增长缓慢  也会导致美元也会贬值    削弱了结论

In this question, we do not have to find out 真正削弱经济的原因.

The answer B is irrelevant to the question because “prediction” is not equal to “reality.”

Though, in reality, a slowdown in economic may be resulted from budget deficit. It does not weaken the argument.

The argument only mentions that “prediction of slowdown in economic growth” would influence.

取非削弱，没有财政赤字之前，predictions就已经使得美元贬值了，所以减少财政赤字以期待减缓贬值压力的conclusion不对。
