to integrate women into mainstream

politics; they demanded equal

我粗读下来吧觉得这篇文章讲的是有关E Roosevelet这个女人的事情，并不是重点要说社会变革的。The passage as a whole primarily 说的事就不能选D否则这篇文章的前半部分就没用了啊，前半部分并没有说社会变革的事而是在介绍E Roosevelet。所以说as a whole的文章应该选A
