The advice from grandparents has no use for their grandchildren because the world changed a lot during the past 50 years. Use specific reasons to support your answer.
Along with the magnificent development of the society, there is a general growing trend that everything changes so fast that even we, the youngers, find it hard to keep up with the improvement of the world, not mention our grandparents. However, a debate over whether the advice from our grandparents has use for us is discussed. Considering the distinct backgrounds of people, it is not surprise that different people have different opinions. Nevertheless, as far as i am concerned, there is no denying that those advice has generally not that important for us. My reasons are elaborated in the following passage.
To begin with, as the world develops, today's society has become an information-based society, and almost all of us absorb most of information and knowledge from the Internet. Thus, Internet and computer play an vital role in our lives, while a majority of the older are not that fascinated with these technologies, they preferred traditional lives. Hence, most of the times, their opinions do not match the present situation, and their advice are definitely based on their opinions. Under this circumstance, I can set forth that most of their advice for us are old fashioned, hence, it is obvious to conclude that the advice offered for us by our grandparents has little help for us. What's more, sometimes, their advice may do harm to us. Take my grandmother for example, there was a time that I got high fever, I was only 5 years old at that time, my grandmother just let lie in the bed, and said I would recover after I sweat. This approach may be effective for low fever, but I got high fever that time. Fortunately, my mother got home and sent me to the hospital, or my head may be damaged at that high temperature.
Admittedly, there are some reasons to believe that some of the advice proposed by our grandparents are still useful, after all, they have much more life experience than us. For instance, they will require us to be a honest person all the time, to try our best to achieve our goals and so on. These are the kind of advice containing basic life principles that will always be useful for us. Nevertheless, these advice are not so much compared to the other advice based on modern life. Thus, when comparing this reason to the reasons mentioned above, it is still obvious that grandparents' advice are out of time.
All in all, according to the reasons proposed above, which together constitute an integrate whole making the statement more convincing, as a result, we may firmly conclude that The advice from grandparents has no use for their grandchildren. |
