Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Children should choose the same career as their parents. Use specific examples to support your answer.

Have you ever found that some young adults argue with his parents about his career? Have you ever found that most of us want to do just what we like? Or have you ever unwittingly found that some children hate jobs of their parents?
In my philosophy, I would without hesitation to disagree with the point that children should take the same job as their parents.

To begin with, some people, after graduating, always tend to find jobs what they interested in. There is no doubt to say that interest plays an important role in determining jobs. Take Li Cheng, my best friend since I was 7 years old, for an example, he now works as a doctor, the same career as his parents. But he does not like this job, he always complained with me about what happened in the hospital. Rich as he is, he never feels very happy. Therefore, I think interest is more important than the decision of their parents.

Secondly, people’s careers are closely related to what they learned at the university. We spend so much time at major. We would waste a lot of time if we choose the career that has no related to what we learned. According a survey on the internet, nearly 80% people are inclined to jobs what they learned previously. Consequently, it is unwise to make children to follow their parents’ career.

What is more, children should find jobs that suit them. Different people have divergent backgrounds and different charactics even though parents and their children. So, everyone should take a proper job according to his or her own charactics.

By and large, as the reasons listed above, children should consider divergent things, such as their interesting, charactics and so on, on deciding their own careers.

The reading passage raises the claims that pollutions cause the number of the otters declined. However, this statement is strongly questioned by the lecture which provides drastically different evidences and argues that predation is the mainly reason the number of the otters decling.

The professor begins by pointing out that the number of died otters has not found on the coast of the Alaskan, which finds that the otters actually disappeared because of predators hunting. This evidence disagrees with the standpoint that there are some pollution material has been found on the ocean of the Alaskan, as demonstrated in the reading passage.

Then the professor goes on to maintain that with the number of whale hunting by human increased, orcas are inclined to have some small mammals. According to the reading passage, however, the number of some other mammals, except otter, also declined. Therefore, the lecture goes against/ strengthens what is presented in the reading passage.

Finally, the professor states that the uneven pattern of otter decline is explained by the orca predation theory. This point of view also casts doubt on/ is consistent with the contents of the reading passage, which considers that ocean currents or other environmental factors may cause uneven concentrations of pollution.
