CUHK MBA Program

This 9-month MIT Masters Degree allows second-year CUMBA students to gain expert knowledge by writing a master thesis on a specific management discipline.

With its 95-year history, MSMS is one of the world’s top private business schools attracting over 1,100 students and boasting 20,000 alumni in 90 countries. Open to just 15 participants worldwide and including classes at both MIT and Harvard, the two-semester MBA programme here is stringently selective and was ranked No. 9 by the Financial Times in 2009.

Full-time CUMBA students who have successfully completed 33-36 units of required core and/or required concentration courses are eligible to apply for the Dual Degree Program at MIT Sloan Master of Science in Management Studies (MSMS). To be considered, applicants must demonstrate stellar undergraduate and graduate school grade point averages as well as GMAT, GRE, and/or TOEFL scores.

Coursework completed under the MSMS, with the overall grade of B or above, will be recognized toward the remaining 18 to 21 units of elective coursework required for completion of the CUMBA degree.

Coursework completed under the MSMS with the grade of B or above may also be recognized as meeting CUMBA concentration requirements subject to the prior approval of the Director of Graduate Studies.

CUHK MBA students will pay tuition for coursework taken at CUHK directly to CUHK.
Upon admission to the MSMS, students will pay tuition directly to MIT Sloan. The Master of Science in Management Studies tuition for 2009-2010 school year is $52,000, plus applicable fees.
