If an integer n is to be chosen at random from the integers 1 to 96, inclusive, what is the probability that n(n + 1)(n + 2) will be divisible by 8?
A. 1/4
B. 3/8
C. 1/2
D. 5/8
E. 3/4

Q12:
From Leland’s gross pay of p dollars last week, t percent was deducted for taxes and then s dollars was deducted for savings. What amount of Leland’s gross pay last week remained after these two deductions?
(1)p - s = 244
(2)pt = 7,552

Q10:
A certain quantity is measured on two different scales, the R-scale and the S-scale, that are related linearly. Measurements on the R-scale of 6 and 24 correspond to measurements on the S-scale of 30 and 60, respectively. What measurement on the R-scale corresponds to a measurement of 100 on the S-scale?
A. 20
B. 36
C. 48
D. 60
E. 84

第一题是5/8，首先如果n是偶数，那肯定能被8整除，如果n是奇数，那么只有当它等于7或15之类的时候，才可能被n整除，这类数字有96/8=12个，所以加起来应该是5/8
第二题选c，就是remain=（1-t)p-s,但是lz确定题目没错吗，我怎么觉得两个条件好像不能兼容的，算出来是负的
第三题是48，就是二元一次方程，两个点（6，30）和（24，60），然后已知y=100，求x

Q9 ，偶数和 8n-1的数字满足条件， 1/2+1/8=3/8

Q10， p-s 表示剩下的钱加上税， pt表示税，知道这两者就知道剩下多少钱了。（选项里的数字显然错了）

Q11， R和S是坐标轴x和y，直线经过（6，30）和（24，60），代入直线方程 y=kx+a 求出来 k=5/3 a=20。 y=100代入直线方程， x=48

关于Q9，为什么n是偶数的时候 n(n+1)(n+2)是8的倍数，解释一下

不用看n+1了， n+1是个奇数。

分两种情况：

n 如果是4的倍数，那么 n(n+2) 就是8的倍数

n如果不是4的倍数，那么 n+2 一定是4的倍数，所以 n(n+2) 还是8的倍数。

所以，只要n是2的倍数 n(n+2) 就是8的倍数。
