朗文字典reward的用法是 reward sb with sth. Larry complimented her and was rewarded with a smile.或者 reward sb. for sth. She was generously rewarded for her work. 但这样的话CDE就可以先排除了, 但AB又有明显的不对，所以我觉得这么看来reward sb. sth的说法也应该是对的。

我选的D 后来看朗文 in recongnition of= show public thanks and admiration for something. 符合这个的只有E了

E在in recongnition of 当中硬生生地插入了一个long-overdue，感觉不太好吧？
我现在感觉可能选C了。C的which从句虽然比同位语差了点，但好歹没错啊

个人认为, long-overdue算adj.所以修饰名词更好，如果放在in前面，是修饰介词，修饰介词用副词更好，所以long-overdue应该放在in 后面

本题最简解题法：
逻辑意思: 是奖励给“勇敢者”，而不是奖励给“长时间的迟到”
用reward sb. sth 不用 reward sb. for sth

习惯用语in （adj.）recongnition of

前天看到一个题，not only... but also 中also前面就加了一个代词it，也是正确的，等我找找那题~~~

1，reward是及物动词，不用with
2，in long-overdue是修饰REWARD的
