一道DS的困惑

MegaTech and UltraCorp are considering a merger to form the MegaUltraTech Corporation. Does MegaTech have more
employees than UltraCorp?
(1)The average (arithmetic mean) age of UltraCorp employees is 32.8, while the average age of MegaTech employees
is 27.2.
(2) If the merger goes through and all employees from both companies remain employed, the average (arithmetic mean)
age of the MegaUltraTech employees will be 31.4.

由1+2可以推出UltraCorp员工数大于MegaTech ，可是问题问的是 “是否MegaTech员工数大于UltraCorp”。貌似应该选择E。可答案为什么是B呢？

貌似以前也遇到过类似的题目，问是否Y小于0？结果推出来Y〉0也可以。今后遇到这种模棱两可的题目怎么办呀？
