答案选C，我还是不明白，虽然别的选项也都能挑出毛病来，但还是觉得c不想答案啊，我当时实在拿不准了就选了a

A 有什么错呢？我觉得because的用法和OG这道题差不多啊

我一开始选了D,后来发现这是逻辑结构极其混乱.A中Over the course of the eighteenth century不简洁,另外A不形式上不平行,而且颠倒了两个原因的顺序.还是C好一些,因为主句结构简单,with的独立主格结构在这里不会有不清楚的嫌疑,只是being 难以理解,待讨论.

绝对错误：

1) with后面的表达完全可以用主动语气- With coal replacing charcoal

2) by coal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore and several improvements in blowing machinery有歧意：by coal as the fuel used in （the smelting of iron ore and several improvements in blowing machinery）——括弧中的可以是一种理解。

GMAT不喜欢形式：

1）with ; 2) being; 3) 非人用's.

而A中，有同学提到Over the course of 冗余，我查了GOOGLE，有这样的表达。我理解是强调过程，并没有绝对错误。后面的result和becaue 可能很不爽，但是不是绝对错误。

only one of A and D can be the correct answer.

I vote for A. A中除了because 与as result of不平行外，没有别的的gulity.

但C 有很明显的逻辑错误。 with的逻辑主语完全是the average ouput. Does it make sense?
