我做这题的时候也觉得C 的it指代不明确，不过回过头来看，只能指单数的course of action。。。

你觉得E有何不妥？

首先搞清楚逻辑意思 谁会miss signs or。。。 显然是人 也就是executive 所以A错 B提取主谓宾 变成 An executive makes 。。。likely 这显然也不对

D being错 E改变了原文的意思

所以 C

原文的意思是 使得executive有可能。。。

E变成 有可能使得executive....
