A. Automobile passengers in teh United States have a greater statistical chance of being involved in an accident than do passergers in Europe

为什么会是这个答案呢, 这不是说明美国的chance 本来就高, strngent standards for safety belt design 也未必很有效果么? 所以也是WEAKEN啊.

A项只是说在美国遭受到这种automobile accidents 的人数比欧洲多，但这个并不能weaken上面的结论啊！上面结论所说的是在发生意外的时候在美国乘客受的伤要比欧洲的严重，但这与受伤的人数没有任何关系的。

确切的说是strengthen或者是保持原来的逻辑状态

此题通过对美国和欧洲车祸受伤程度的比较，得出结论美国应该设计更加严格的安全带。

A是一个weeken，它说明不是美国的安全带设计上有问题，而是美国人很多不带安全带

即使美国的受伤人数多，也不能削弱美国受伤程度重所以要设计更严格安全带的结论。
