并不是所有的时候都是rather than优于instead of 的，只有E选项是平行的，而且instead of为介词的用法正确。

GMAC和新东方对着干，学生吃亏了。

首先，根据白勇语法：

rather than的习惯用法

  1）放在句中、句尾一般用rather than + do

  2）放在句首，可以用rather than + do或者rather than + doing

A中的rather than + doing 在句中，不对

其次，it指代问题，可能指代the sun

现在的很多语法题根本就不能像新东方讲的那样只凭一两个词就选答案，而要综合句子的逻辑意思和语法知识点考虑周全。

1、首先排除C

2、it无正确指代对象，排除A D

3、比较对象要是同一范畴的东西，B错

所以选E

不过现在可以确定A错，因为我今天刚看了一个牛牛的解释，A中的it精确指代body heat但是前后不是同样的heat，错！
