[求助]工作几年了现在求学能让将来的路好走点吗

找到这个论坛的时候可以说是眼前一亮，发现论坛上各位的水平都挺高的，以前从来没有想过出国，因为觉得太远了（主要是觉得费用太高），现在萌发了这个念头。

本人今年27岁，小本，起点低前几年只能拼了命的工作，一直在做derivatives，现在在外资银行做投行的工作，做了一段时间觉得欠缺的知识太多了（本来就不是金融出身），有点力不从心，虽然也小有业绩，但是长远看很难有进一步发展的空间，而且跟身边同事的教育背景差距太大了，大家都是没日没夜的出差干活，但投行属于知识密集型，感觉懂的远远不够。

对于是否着手准备出国确实比较困惑，取舍东西太多。

如果不出国，目前薪水各方面尚算满意，虽说现在还没遇到职业瓶颈，但是几乎可以肯定将来会碰到，到时候再想这条路年纪就大了。

如果考虑出国，1。需要大量的时间准备，现在工作忙，需要牺牲工作精力和收入。而且个人感觉如果申请不上名校，付出的机会成本就会变得很大。

2。前几年工作背景一般，职位不错但是公司名气不够，如果申请MBA，是否不利？

3。学历背景一般，小本学校估计充其量排100名左右，GPA不好只有2.7，专业是英语。金融的东西全部都是这几年自学。

对于将来的职业发展，我应该考虑出国吗？

如果要读，申请金融硕士还是MBA更利于将来的发展，关键的是，这样的背景有可能申请到牛校吗？

don't think you can surive in IB if you don't have a top MBA unless you are extremely excellent, therefore go for MBA, not master in finance;

you will only know whether you can be admitted by top schools after you try. Therefore, this question is meaningless;

the most important job is your current job. If it's a top tier intl bank, then I would say your background is very good;

Conclusion: try whatever you want before you raise some many questions! e.g. if your GMAT is 780,you might get an offer from top 10; if you GMAT is 600, probably not for top 20.

Many thanks FINAC!! Really appreciate your kind revert. I'm a total nitwit when it comes to foreign edu system. What if Master in Fiance firstly then MBA, does it a waste of time or money even though I might afford to.

As you suggested, the only way to get the answers is to strive for the aim, thank you. What I'm concerning is about for which direction, or picking up a way aiming at where is good/suitable for myself.

Re importance of my current job to top schools application, I agree with you. Unluckly, the bank's less competitive on general ranking though, specialising in certain product/cycle.

Maybe I should put down my target a little bit firstly.
