10. "When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
Ever from our childhood, we were taught to believe that there is no free meal in the world, which completely veto for the luck in deciding whether one can succeed. It is undeniable that hard work plays a considerable role in achieving one's success. However, in some situations, luck cannot be just disregarded.
To begin with, hard work itself is really a significant factor and also the final deciding condition. Consider all the celebrities and tycoons, barely any one of them gained the big achievement and sound reputation without putting a lot of endeavor. As the old saying goes, all man borns equal. So in order to achieve a tremendous goal, one must make best use of time and improve the weaknesses.
However, hardship is not the single aspect in deciding the success. Thus luck may act as the irreplaceable alternative. Luck does not mean that one can just sit still, waiting for fame and money coming automatically.. Instead, luck can be sometimes translated as chance. While chance is not something that dooms to give you, it only occurs to someone who has preparations. Take Panasonic for example, without careful attitude and responsibility towards their customers always being bared in mind, Panasonic cannot grow from a small compliance fixing shop to a world top 500 company. It can be said that Panasonic happens to meet the lucky time when Japan's economic boosted, but without certain preparations, Panasonic cannot be it as today.
So, as a result, what we should do is to combine to two aspects into one. Firstly, we should make good endeavor. No pains, no gains. Despite ponderous burden on our shoulders and endless time which otherwise can be used to play, one can find pleasure in working and challenging the ventures especially when one finds his improvement little by little. Further, one should create conditions to find luck, which needs a strong ability of innovation, a acute sense of market and a broad interpersonal network. Owning this, you will find luck is not rare, instead, it will comes at you at any time.
In conclusion, hard work should go on to be taught to the small children as the only factor that can make one succeed, but as a adult, one has to concede luck, itself, cannot be overlooked anyway.
