请问 admission committees是由哪些人组成的？

应该是由
faculty 和
staff 组成的吧？会不会有高年级的PhD学生在adcom？听说有的学校会请PhD students帮忙看applicants的申请文件，那么PhD students有决定权吗？他们看到不喜欢的applicants能够直接删除吗？

some senior faculty and some junior faculty, whose research interest can contain most area in the major

staff and phd students, are you kidding?

I know that some universities invite PhD students to give advice, such as Columbia U. The Chinese PhD students can screen applicants from China.

The professors usually discuss the potential applicants with the current PhD students, and ask whether they have any suggestion and see whether they will feel comfortable with the potential guy in the future joint research. To my knowledge, the current students are not the regular recruiting committee members and they do not have chances to make the actual decision. It always depends on the major, even in the same business school.
