Group Manager

Sounds like a great background.  You only need two recommendations for MIT but Harvard requires three.  You can get started on both applications now.  The Harvard one is out officially and the MIT admissions site has most of the information that you need.  Good luck!

Thanks! You give me more confidence.

Some guys said the first round is more challaging because the people with most striking background will be more interested in first round. Do you think, I should, as they suggested, apply for the 2nd or 3rd round?

And for my background, which direction will match more with my experience? The information system? Or the operation/logistics? Or just management?

My technological background is enough and I want to get more management and economics education by MBA.

How about the PHD programs, some friends suggested me to take, because they can provide scholarship as other non-MBA programme. But I am not sure all my education background is related to CS, is it fit for a PhD study in B-Schools?

Thanks again!

Everyone has different path and different interest.  I think you have a good background but you'll most likely to excel on what you feel most passionate about.  I can't tell you which direction to take, figure out what you want for yourself.

BTW, doesn't sound like you've done much homework yet (me neither, hee hee) so stop asking around for what others think and research research and then research somemore!

Money should be the least of your worries.  I won't pick a program based on how much funding I'd get.  You'll make plenty once you get out.

Some Schools strongly recommend candiates to apply first two rounds.

I don't quite understand. Bigstone, if you are already a group manager, why do you want to do a MBA?

If I was in your shoes, I would enroll myself to a Part-time MBA program, EMBA.
