我选择B，答案C.
有人说compare不能做主动，所以B错。
请问出现了倍数的词组不能和more than连用？

是的，compare 不做主动来使用，n times more than。。。是可以这样搭配的。
B 错的问题不止在 compare 用了主动， CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, a ratio that compares to 42 times，其中 the pay 在和后面的42 times 在做比较，是不对的。再看C，CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio。。。， as compared to 的前后的对比对象非常的平行，都是pay 与pay 在比较，后面的ratio 是做的42 times 的同位语，是正确的。

thx 我搞不懂比较的对象，这里比较的是salary，那为什么不能比较419times 和42times呢？

419 times the pay 和后面的42 times their pay 落脚点都在 pay 上，最终比的是pay 的多少。
如果是B 419 times the pay 和后面的 42 times，比较的就是 pay 和倍数在做比较。懂了不？

同意思路，不过我觉得有些说法不是很严密吧。。

我觉得B ratio 是 419times the pay 的同位语，ratio和42 times 比较不平衡，应该是和42 times the pay.
C as compared to 前后就是 419 times the pay 和 42 times their pay 比较，平衡。然后 ratio是42 times the pay 的同位语。。

你说呢？

ratio 是比率啊，不能是 the pay 的同位语吧。
