Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Teachers should not make their social or political views known to students in the classroom.
Obviously, teachers can have a typically great impact upon behaviors, attitudes, and thought of students. Some teacher prefer to make their social or political view known to students in the classroom, others prefer only teaching knowledge in the class.
Obviously, teachers can have a typically great impact upon behaviors, attitudes, and thought of students. Some teacher prefer to make their social or political view known to students in the classroom, others prefer only teaching knowledge in the class. It is undeniable that teachers should not make their social or political view known to students in the junior or high school in order to save time in class. As a junior or high school student, the major task is to study foundational knowledge. In order to get a high grade in college entrance examination. If a teacher made too much their social or political view known to students in class, students will probably cannot fully attention to the class. When I was in senior high, my physics teacher often told some political issue and comment them in the class. At that time we like his class very much, because his class are interesting. However, now I think his class is bad enough. As everybody knows, physics is most difficult subject for most of science student. Due to he said too much extra-curriculum thing, we get less knowledge. Result I got poor grade in college entrance examination.
However, it is also undeniable that teachers should make their social or political view known to students in the universities in order to shape students moral values.Admittedly, university students do not have as senior school as much content of class. So talking about political views cannot same as waste time for universities' students. Most of university students already have ability to shape their own moral values, so they need a correct conduct by their teachers. I still remember my teacher of sociology told me numerous her own social and political view in the class when I was freshman. I got much experience from her class which I will never got from the textbooks.
Judging from above evidence offered. I can hardly agree that teacher should make their social or political view known to students in the classroom. It mostly depends on children’s age and classis’s subject whether teacher should make their social or political view known to students. In the university class teacher should make their social or political view known to students in order to shape student’s moral value.
