我选的D，但是答案是B
请问D错在哪里

我觉得是因为D没有提及到 credo of social responsibility 的作用，Corporations tend to give generously to charity是在 credo of social responsibility的左右下。不知道我的理解对不对。

我的理解是题目中说 “corporations in the United States that follow a credo of social responsibility are also very profitable”即 a credo of social responsibility =profitable。
再看下一句“these fifteen corporations give generously to charity, follow stringent environmental-protection policies, and have vigorous affirmative-action programs.
”即 a credo of social responsibility =>give generously to charity

因为credo of social responsibility =profitable又有a credo of social responsibility =>give generously to charity所以我推出profitable=>give generously to charity
就是答案D

OK，我的答案一开始在AB徘徊，后来选B。

A，太绝对，虽然没有说明这个调查的范围，但显然文章没有表现出credo和profitable的必然联系。
B，相比A缓和，实则是比较暧昧的答案，再没有最佳答案的情况下通常可选。
C，C这个逻辑链的错误，题目中能和charity产生联系的是profitable，而不是credo，profitable是credo的可能结果。换言之我们可以用祖孙三代的这么一个逻辑链来看C选项：爷爷生了爸爸，爸爸生了小明，但小明不是爷爷生的。
D，D扩大了范围。本文只说明是15个公司，而D的选项是泛指所有公司。如果D的头是"These corporation"，那D的正确性就大很多。我给你举这么个例子：斯巴达300壮士都是体格健壮的南欧男人。这句话是不能得出“南欧男人都是体格健壮”的结论的。同样，题中的15个corporation是不能代表一般的大众corporation的。
E，就不说，E里面的两个例子在题中是平行的，就好像是：爷爷生了爸爸和叔叔，但爸爸和叔叔是不能互相对生的。

嗯，懂了，D里面说所有公司反而太绝对了
B里面用到了it is possible相对委婉

看来还是我粗心了没有注意到fifteen的问题
