【求助】一道数学题不是很明白题意！！

这道题是绿本上得，不是很明白，希望大家帮忙！！谢谢了！！
A certain clock marks every hour by striking a number of times equal to he hour, and the time required for a stroke is exactly equal to the time interval between strokes. At 6:00 the time lapse between the beginning of the first stroke and the end of the stroke is 22 seconds. At 12:00, how many seconds elapse between the beginning of the first stroke and the end of the last stroke?

Answer: 46

答案中这么写的：At 6:00 there are 6 strokes and 5 intervals between strokes. Thus, there are 11 equal time intervals in the 22 seconds between the beginning of the first stroke and the end of the last stroke. 这里我不是很明白11 equal time intervals是怎么回事？

麻烦大家帮我解答一下！！

"The time required for a stroke is exactly equal to the time interval between the strokes" 的意思是钟响一下的持续时间和两下之间的间断时间是相同的。六点响6下，加上间隔5次，一共就是11个基本时间了。
