Three basic types of questions exist in the Critical Reasoning section.
The first type of question refers to logical argument construction. You will be asked to recognize and identify the basic structure of an argument, properly drawn conclusions, underlying assumption, and parallels in reasoning.
The second type of question test your ability to evaluate the logic of a particular argument or piece of reasoning. It will also test your ability to recognize factors that would strengthen or weaken the argument, reasoning errors made in constructing an argument, and aspects of the argumentative methodology.
The third type of question require you to construct and evaluate plans of action. Issues addressed here include the efficacy of a proposed plan, ways in which the plan could be strengthened, and the role of assumptions inherent in the plan.
